First Week

We had a great first week! It has been a fun and busy few days!  We have learned new routines, procedures, and expectations for 5th grade.  We rotated to the other fifth grade classrooms to learn new Social Studies location standards.  We also completed our first STEM challenge this afternoon and discussed expectations when working together in groups.  Ask your student how their group "Saved Fred." We will begin diving into fifth grade content on Monday.

Please be sure your student has an independent reading book.  They are required to read at least 10 pages for homework during the week.  We will attend Library Orientation on August 8th and begin checking out books on this day.  Until then, they are welcome to read a book from home or borrow one from me.
